  • Acute low back pain (lumbago)
  • Diffuse pain along the spine – cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, sacroiliac joint
  • Tension headaches
  • Sciatica
  • Disc bulge

Releasing functional restrictions of movement with passive stretching of muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia, as well as direct and indirect manual osteopathic techniques.

  • Joints with loss of mobility
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Frozen shoulder (impingement syndrome)
  • Strains and joint blockages
  • Stiff neck

  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Dizziness and balance disorders
  • Jaw joint problems (TMJ disorders)

With non-specific complaints that are hard to pin down, a multifactorial approach can help. Complaints overlap and keep each other going.

  • Thoracic outlet syndrome
  • Iliotibial band syndrome
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Other unexplained pain syndromes

Supporting inflamed or irritated structures by stimulating circulation and treating areas of entrapment:

  • Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis)
  • Golfer's elbow (medial epicondylitis)
  • Tendon sheath inflammation (tenosynovitis)
  • Bursitis

Sudden overstretching or bruising causes local changes in the tissue. Muscle strains or bone bruises can cause complaints long after the original trauma.

  • Whiplash (after a bike or car accident)
  • Sprained ankle (supination trauma)
  • Scars and tissue adhesions
  • Bruises
  • Loss of mobility after injuries

★★★★★

★★★★★

“David Lisowski created a calm and friendly environment. He quickly found the area of tension leading to my troubles and shared how I could improve this on my own as well.”

“I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the exceptional care and treatment I received during my recent appointment. It was my first session with him. I went in with so much pain in my feet and when I stepped out I felt so much better. His expertise and dedication to his patients are truly commendable.”

★★★★★

★★★★★

“It's magic! My pain was never back after one time treatment by Mr. Lisowski almost a year ago. Thank you!”

★

Modern treatment room of the osteopathy practice in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg

What a treatment looks like approx. 60 min

Medical history (approx. 10 minutes)

We start by talking about your current symptoms, past complaints and previous illnesses. This already narrows down the possible causes (differential diagnosis), and the examination is then tailored to them.

Examination (approx. 10 minutes)

Orthopaedic and osteopathic tests rule out possible causes and narrow the picture further until the most plausible explanation has been worked out. The treatment techniques and exercises are adapted to this explanation.

Explanation (approx. 5 minutes)

You get a clear explanation of how the treatment will proceed, illustrated with anatomy software.

Treatment (approx. 25 minutes)

The osteopathic treatment is tailored to you. Mobilisation, stretching, trigger points, manipulation, relaxation, breathing and many other techniques are adapted to your complaint.

Exercises & prognosis (approx. 5 minutes)

You get an assessment of how your complaint is likely to develop and individual exercises that match it.

Billing & documentation (approx. 5 minutes)

Finally, the treatment is billed and documented.

Reimbursement and payment

Many statutory health insurers (gesetzliche Krankenkassen) cover part of the cost of osteopathic treatment. Depending on the insurer, the subsidy is between €30 and €60 per session.

  • a private prescription from a doctor (Privatrezept) is usually required
  • you get an invoice from me, which you submit to your insurer together with the prescription
Open list of insurers (German)

Private health insurers usually cover the cost in full or in part. Billing follows the fee schedule for Heilpraktiker (GebüH).

  • often no doctor's prescription is needed
  • reimbursement depends on the benefits of your individual plan

Many private supplementary insurance plans for Heilpraktiker services reimburse 60–100 % of treatment costs, depending on the plan.

  • check what your plan covers (Heilpraktiker / osteopathy)
  • usually no prescription needed
  • some plans cost €20–40 per month

With the Gesundheitsticket, employers can subsidise osteopathic treatment at a tax advantage. Employees receive a voucher or cost coverage for treatment in my practice.

  • you can pay with the Gesundheitsticket in my practice
  • simply bring your ticket or voucher number to your appointment

For students, trainees, pensioners and people on a low income I offer reduced rates by arrangement.

  • a treatment at the reduced rate costs €70
  • choose your appointment online

Nobody should have to go without treatment for financial reasons. In special situations, treatment is possible on a recommended donation. The recommendation is what your health insurer would cover — and if you like, you can give more.

  • book your appointment online

You pay directly after the treatment by card (all cards) or in cash. Payment by invoice is also possible on request.

  • a treatment lasts one hour and costs €90

You always receive your invoice as a PDF, or on paper if you prefer.
